The Big 2-0.

Thursday was my birthday! I'm officially not a teenager anymore. It's kinda weird to think about. We played capture the flag and some random tag games on my birthday. Jess and I cleaned the apartment today inbetween sessions of General Conference. I am dating my roommate's brother as of this week. His name is Brent. He had to go home this weekend because his best friend was accidentally shot this week. We've been to the temple twice this week. It's really nice. We are going to go again this weekend. I have pictures, but they aren't on the computer yet. I'm trying to get pictures of the apartment today while they are clean so that I can show everyone what it looks like. I do have a few really pretty pictures of the mountains that haven't been altered in the least. It helps me appreciate the meaning of "purple mountain majesty." That is the view from right outside our apartment comples. Nice huh?

Help!

This weekend was so much fun! I got all my homework done Thursday night so I have been able to do fun stuff all weekend. It was really nice for a change. I played laser tag, went to a comedy show, watched some cool clubs on campus do break dancing and hip hop. Saturday we watched the football game and got our first snow. Yeah, snow in September! Then we went to Brick Oven for dinner, watched a movie at Ace's house and then watched a movie in the boys apartment. Today was church and then we just kinda bummed around. The guys made dinner for us..Here are some pictures.

Another day, another dollar.

Day dos. Not bad. I was a lot more tired today at work. Probably because we stayed up way too late two days in a row, because we are lame! That's about all that happened today besides class and homework. Brant, Ace, Bryce, and Zac came over tonight again just to say hey, and mooch off of our internet, which is cool. We are going to have a movie night with them Friday after Ace gets off work.

1st day of work!

Today was my first official day of work. Yikes, 5 a.m. I dunno what I was thinking. It wasn't too bad though. A girl I know from home works with me. I actually sat around for like half of my shift too. There isn't a lot for us to do because they finally have a full crew. I guess that's good right? Well tomorrow is the due date for the Odyssey and no matter how much I read that crazy book I'm still only on page 355. I only have to read to about 480, but that is still over a hundred pages to read before tomorrow. I think my professors forget that I have other homework to do to. Crazies! Well, you know what that means, time to get back to reading. I think my eyes and brain are trying to shut down, but I can't let them yet. Our roommates want to make a video together, so we might be doing that sometime this weekend. Good times!

Amazing day!

Today I got to be like... 10 feet from President Monson, Elder Wirthlin and Elder Eyring. Elder Eyring waived at us. I also got to hear talks from all three of them! It was an amazing and uplifting experience. We also made steak, and hamburgers for lunch and Mark, John, Brant and Zack came over and ate with us. Then, Mark made us crepes for dinner. Tonight Angela's friend Brad, and her brother Brent came over and we had a two hour long discussion about things happening in the world and in our lives. It was cool to sit down and have a serious conversation about things. It's nice to have friends that are mature enough to be able to discuss it with. Here are some pictures from today.

Kicking Tulsa!

So, we won the football game today against Tulsa for those of you who missed it! 49-24. Amazing I know! A freshman on our team made a touchdown. It was adorable cause he was so excited! It's hard to play as a freshman let alone be in a position to make a touchdown. I think we have at least two starting Freshmen this year though. Only one downside to the game though. It poured! I'm talking like.. Monsoon pouring. It was a lot of fun though. It just got absolutely freezing and I'm still warming up like.... 3 hours later. They had to delay the game for about 45 minutes for lightning and they evacuated the field. They ended up finishing the game though. We are having a regional fireside tomorrow and Thomas S. Monson and Henry B. Eyering are speaking to us! I'm pretty excited! I also start my job Monday morning... at 5 am. Not too excited about the 5 am part but I'm excited to finally be making money again. Here are some pictures from the game. I would try to explain who everyone is, but I think I would just confuse people since everyone is wearing BYU shirts.... and the same color.

Roomies!

Alright everyone. Here are some pictures of my new roommates. They are cute huh? Kimberlee is the birthday girl and Angela is the one in the picture with her... obviously. Jess is in the orange... trying to figure out the singing birthday candle which is dang cool by the way! Ooh good news, I'm on page like... 183 of The Odyssey.. only like... 300 some to go! Woo hoo!

P.S.

Here are some pictures from the other night. I should probably clarify. Brant (from Texas) is in the black. Zack (from Minnesota) is in yellow. Dave (don't remember where he is from) is in the dark blue BYU shirt and Brandon (from Evansville) is in the light blue. Jess is obviously the only girl in the pictures and my roommate from Missouri. We know each other from last year.

Day 3

Day three of school and I'm already overwhelmed like you wouldn't believe. One of my first homework assignments of the year was to read the entire Odyssey by next Tuesday. Yeah, a 500 some odd paged book in a week. Which wouldn't be that big of a deal if it was a normal book, but it is written in like... old english or.. something and it is kinda hard to understand. Oh, good news though! I got a job. 5am-8:30 am Monday through Friday. I am trying to slowly adjust my schedule so that I won't be exhausted all day in classes, I guess we will see how that works out. Some guys from the apartment complex (aka my ward for those of you who know what that is) came over the other night and played games and made rice crispy treats with Jess and I. Then they decided they all wanted to hear my play the piano... that wasn't so cool. I'm really not that talented, but I went and played for them. Kimberlee, one of my new roommates, has a birthday this Saturday. She will be 19. We are going to celebrate tonight probably by just baking her a cake and getting her a little present because she goes home every weekend so we have to do it before she leaves tomorrow. She is from Salt Lake. My other roommates name is Angela. She is from California, I think around the Sacramento area, I'm not quite sure. Her brother and his roommates called her last night and offered to make dinner for us this Sunday night.. so free food! I'm excited. Well, I guess that is all for now.
