Get Out the Ice Skates

This is what our backyard looked like this morning. I wanted to put on some ice skates and go skating. When I tried to walk the dog I thought that he was going to pull me along after I fell on the ice and landed on my behind. Luckily I didn't fall and he didn't get the chance to pull me along. It was so slick that we couldn't walk very far or fast. (Sammy wanted to, though.) The snow is melting, but the ice is melting much more slowly. It would have been a great time to go skating. The temperature was in the 40's. It's a good thing I don't have ice skates I probably would have broken some part on my body trying to skate.

Some Pictures and Explanations

Well, first off, I've been taking pictures around campus. This first one is just random.

Picture number two was this huge pile of snow with a face carved in it on campus (in Brigham Square). A guy was standing on it the first time I walked by.

These next three were taken on my walk home from campus last week, the sunset and the snow was amazing. There isn't too much snow left though.

The last photo is an activity we did for fhe on Monday. We were in groups and each group was supposed to make a character from the Bible or Book of Mormon (Couldn't be Jesus) using an egg and playdough. Ours was Amalikiah.

Sundance in the Snow

Brent and I went to try to find a place to go sledding this weekend up in the canyon, but didn't have much luck. They wouldn't let us go in Sundance because it is "too dangerous" Probably because of them danged skiiers. Oh well, it was definitely an adventure, and the mountains and view was amazing up there in the snow. I've never actually been up there when it is completely covered with snow. It's awesome. we also found an abandoned amphitheater and went and played around in it for a few in the snow. It was so nice to get outside and believe it or not it was in the upper forties, which was so nice! I also found out my best friends Erin and Tia are coming to visit me on their spring break in March, so I'm super excited about that as well. Sorry I always post my life in pictures, I've realized that pictures really do tell a thousand words, and that they usually do so much better than I ever could. It's also become kind of a passion for me, even though I don't have much skill with it yet. Oh well, I'm working on it.
P.S. it was extremely hard to capture the actual beauty of it. I would say Narnia is
the closest thing I can think of.
