I'm such a BUM!

Holy cow, I haven't updated forever. I feel like a bum. All I'm doing right now really is working. I work about 40-45 hours a week. Not bad. I'm kinda thinking about getting a second job, but am dragging my feet because I don't really want another job but know I need to be saving up money. I miss the mountains! Anyways, that's really all that is happening around my neck of the woods. Katee finally got hitched. I can put some pretty pictures of her up here. These are my favorite ones although most of them were amazing. Some of them Kellen is abusing the cake in... but we will leave those out. I really like the one when they are walking out of the temple although poor Katee was burning up in her dress.

What REALLY happens at the bridal shower?!?!

This is what really happens at bridal showers... Haha... Good times. Lots more people showed up than expected. Katee and I are almost all moved out of DT. It's pretty weird to be getting ready to leave everyone for the summer and go home. I' m going to miss all my friends like crazy. Especially all the boys who are leaving on their missions.. that's no good.. well it is.. but it's pretty dang sad at the same time. Oh well.. what can ya do? life with freshmen.... alright.. here they are... they aren't working right now.. maybe they will have to be put in later..I guess so... look forward to it!

Hi from Dad

Hi,
Washington lost 7 houses in a big storm. Looked like a small tornado to me.

I hiked a twenty-mile hike --- that was painful, I nearly died.

Had a fun day at the hospital getting my colon scoped. What we older people do for fun! Clean bill of health- sorry, no life insurance to be collected at this time.

One half of my potato crop got frozen. Yes, I know plant on Good Friday next time!

I decided to exercise an American right. I now own a gun, a shotgun to be exact with shotgun shells and deer slugs. I became awfully frightened of the Department of Homeland Security and decided to arm myself. (The terrorists are here and there but the Dept of Homeland Security is everywhere and mostly ineffective pork barrel legislation.-- My personal political view- sorry.) President Benson would be proud and so would George Washington both of whom felt that the right to defend oneself was a God given right. I listened to a talk by President Benson from the sixties. It was very impressive as he warned against the industrial-military-complex and human rights protected by God. It established a very good argument for the existence of God and God's Laws. Brother Baker showed it to us in Scouts. I now feel like a home-grown pioneer. Oh the gun was made in Massachusetts after 1919. It was given to me by my co-worker at work. The price was certainly right. It roars like thunder. I slewed a plastic bag in the back-yard with it.

The grass is growing. Jeff-daddio the plastic-bag slayer.

General Conference

General conference is this weekend. I missed the Saturday afternoon session but will try to catch it sometime this week since I get credit for watching it in missionary prep. The rest of the sessions have been great. There is a general theme about missionary work and families. Not really surprising I guess. Katee and I watched a bunch of movies yesterday as well. We won't tell you how many... haha.. Oh well. There are less than three full weeks of school left! How exciting! I'm so ready for summer!

Waiting

Well, I'm sitting in the SWKT right now waiting for my lab to start and figured I have nothing better to do than update this thing and post some pictures. I'm talking to Kevin right now online and sending him some cool pictures of the mountains. We had a big rain storm last night and the clouds cleared right around sunset so we had a pretty amazing sunset. Today I have lots to do. I have a lab at noon then I am teaching for missionary prep around 7. I will probably also try to catch up on homework. Alright here are the pictures.

Wingers

Wednesday again, today I had class... fun fun.. then I came back and fell asleep for two hours I can't believe it... now I can't sleep.. smart.. I know. Anyways, Russell, Katee, and I went to diner and Winger's it was pretty good... I didn't even get wings though... Kateechastized me for that. When we got back I was supposed to work on homework but I was a slacker today and didn't do hardly any at all. Jess was with Bryan from 5-11 today.. they are pretty much in love and it is hilarious. Anyways.. maybe I'll go work on homework.. that will probably put me to sleep.

Roses are my favorite...

So Matt, Angela, Megan and Bethany got me a dozen roses for my arm. It was way nice! They were so pretty red, orange, and yellow. Well I got bored last night... and since roses are amazing.. here is what happened. Oh yeah, and a random picture of the view from my room.

Lots of News!

Well, I fractured, or really badly bruised my arm last week so... yeah that's no good. I got my cast off today. yay! Um... Friday night I went to preference with Justin York from my ward. It was a lot of fun. We went with Brad and Alicia, Jared and Rachel and Ricky and Anna. Let's see what else.. ooh Katee and Jess have been hanging out in my room a lot lately. The other night we were up forever talking and working on papers. We took like a billion pictures. The results are pretty funny. I will only put a few of them up or they might kill me :-) The last few are what happens when Kellen's name is mentioned. Katee gets all giggly and hides. It's funny.

People in love do silly things

Katee flew out this morning to go visit Kellen in Arizona. She will be gone until Monday. I ended up going to the Divine Comedy practice with Jared, Justin, and Ricky. It was a lot of fun, but a lot of technicalities were going on so it wasn't as good as the real show. That's ok.. it was better than sitting around here...Jess and I might be living with her uncle next year for a lot cheaper rent instead of an apartment because it is so hard to find anything that is a decent price. I guess if we live with him we will be able to save up some money for the future which is really good. Hm... I should probably go study now.

Flying

Wow, this week has definately flown by, not that I have a problem with that or anything I love weekends! Well, this weekend might not be too enjoyable. I already finished my four page paper due on Wednesday though... well for the most part there is still some editing to do and stuff... but it's mostly out of the way. I also studied for my Book of Mormon test that is on Wednesday. Next week is missionary week so it will be kinda hectic around here so I figured I needed to get stuff done and out of the way. Also, next weekend Katee is going to visit her fiancee in Arizona all weekend so it will be just Jess and I. I guess we will see how that goes. They are over at Bryan's right now watching the Phantom of the Opera but I felt like there was some stuff I needed to get done before I started partying... or... hanging out for the weekend. Well... that's pretty much it for now I guess. Maggie and I volunteered at the MTC today in the learning center. We acted as investigators and let missionaries teach us the discussions. Maggie and I are also going to teach a lesson on Sunday to a family about the plan of salvation for our missionary prep class. Well.. That is really all for now, I promise. Signing off...:-)

Weekends

So it wasnt exactly the best weekend. Friday night Jess, Ricky and I went to the men's volleyball game. We killed them so it wasnt soo exciting. Saturday I did homework pretty much all day then watched some movies at night. Sunday was a horrible day due to... some events. Hopefully things are better now.. Today wasn't too good either... oh well.. I guess that's how life is.. you get trials to make you stronger. Our FHE family went and played walleyball tonight.. that was a lot of fun!

PICTURES!

We got the pictures back today from Katee's wedding practice shoot. The lighting is pretty bad on some of them, so we are going to have to do it again. Jess is still practicing though. Also, today was the missionary prep fireside by Vaughn J Featherstone and Jess and I went with our friend Kevin in the ward. It was really good. Well.. here are the pictures! Oh, p.s. that is not her fiancee... that is a random guy that happened to be dressed up. They didn't think I would actually ask him to be in the picture. But, you know me... hehe...
